Hence, the four words became the tag line on my new business card in time

for my planned in person networking attendances this week & before you shout at your screen that networking isn't about shoving business cards in peoples faces read this

Networking Tips For Newbies | Reboundog

The four words are designed to elicit enquiry at such networking events. I could have said what I do, e.g. business coach or culture coach & platform founder or network host. All of these descriptions are not individual to me, for instance if I said business coach & network host then you the listener automatically frame it into you own experience. In doing so I'm being compared to others who do something similar and you've may have just made up your mind that you don't want to engage in a new conversation.

Whereas, with Business Resilience for Social Impact I can open inquisitive conversations with others. That description is also influencing the direction of where I steer Reboundog | The platform organisation for social-impact through the human-animal bond.

It is based on my observation that all too often those in the social impact space try to change the world either all on their own or without having the resilience & resources aka networks to do so. This is so true of for profit businesses who purport to do social good (we've all seen meaningless corporate coffee mugs promoting "we're eco") before they have a robust business with which to do so. That can either be from a financial perspective, what is the point of trying to do one initiative half-heartedly when in reality you can't afford to be in it for the long term to be able to really disrupt? Or it can be from a culture perspective, where you don't have a strong business culture in place that enables you to have mutually beneficial symbiosis with the social impact you crave to be a part of.
